IDAG Design Studio will be taking part in an exhibition revolving around the theme "Återvunnet - kopia och original" (Recycling - copies and originals) at Länsmuseet Härnösand. We were comissioned by Svensk Form Västernorrland to create a unique piece of furniture (which, by the way, also will be auctioned out during the exhibition) with a given media/ material; ten pieces of IKEA, LACK sideboards. Focusing on this theme we also felt that we wanted to incorporate some kind of a tribute to one of our most influential designers in Sweden; Bruno Mathsson. As a result we came up with the idea of fusing together one of Mathssons most iconic creations - the chair "Pernilla" with the IKEA furniture. The exhibition will open on tuesday the eighth of February at 12:30 pm, unfortunately I will not be able to attend myself, although one or two of my adorable colleagues will most certainly.
